The most accessible route to Everest region is by short trans-Himalayan flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a 45 minute fight with great views. We suggest you to get left-hand-side seat of the plane for your flight to Lukla, as it maximize the scope of Himalayan exploration. The landing at Lukla makes for a stunning start of the trek. Alternatively, you can drive to Jiri or make a short flight to Phaplu to start the trek.
