After the devastating earthquake in April 2015, there was a huge delusion that Nepal is the most dangerous place to visit in the earth and the credit goes to the media who unrealistically exaggerated everything. The main damage was reported in Langtang village having same name as Langtang region, which received huge impact with landslide that swept away 25 teahouses at once and claimed more than 300 life. It was a bad nightmare for Nepal till now. But quickly, teahouse were rebuilt just at the north of Langtang village at the safe place and trekkers are already returning back to Langtang region. Other settlements like Lama Hotels, Kyanjin Gompa and Syabrubensi were not much affected by the earthquake. Now we assure that it is 100% safe to travel Langtang region – no worries of landslide and other damages.

Manaslu Trekking Routes in Nepal after earthquake

Manaslu Trekking route was evolving as the best alternative trekking route to Annapurna circuit trail but sadly it didn’t remain safe after the earthquake. The devastating earthquake in 2015 destroyed few settlements – some leveled houses and shops, mainly the teahouses were the visible impact of the earthquake. It also claimed some lives; leaving many injured. The main impact of the earthquake was the overflowing rivers and landslides that washed away the trail. The Yaru trail was the example. However, Government of Nepal quickly employed the team to rebuild the trail and damaged part. Many trekkers who complete the trek after earthquake believe that it is safe more than ever to visit the Manaslu region.

Nepal learnt a good lesson after the earthquake. Now every citizen in Nepal are conscious and knows what to do in the situation of the earthquake. Teahouses are earthquake proof and trails are built on safe place. No need to worry!
