Chisapani Nagarkot hike is one of easy, popular and short hiking trail located around the Kathmandu valley. This trek is also known as the Kathmandu Rim Valley Trek or Nagarkot Trek.
2 nights 3 days Chisapani Nagarkot Trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and hike to Chisapani. The trek enters deeps into the Shivapuri National Park, a place of cool shades, tall trees, stunning streams and serene atmosphere – all in striking contrast to the nose and crowd of the city. Here we get to enjoy the real boon of nature being away from the vibrancy of the city. The trek offers the stunning mountain scenery along with Kathmandu valley and picturesque villages, their lifestyle and culture. During the trek, we have opportunity to interact with local people which adds another dimension to our trekking experience. The lodges in Chisapani are well-equipped with comfortable furniture and food menu. We negotiate with several uphill and downhill section and walk along the forested route of rhododendron with occasional settlements to Nagarkot.
Combining the nature with some typical local life, excellent Himalayan views, magnificent sunset and enthralling sunrise from Chisapani and Nagarkot, this trek makes ideal holiday for every backpackers. In clear weather, an extended portion of Himalayas – starting from Dhaulagiri in the west to Mt. Everest and Kanchenjunga in the far-east can be seen.

Day 01: Kathmandu – Sunadarijal (1,350m/ 1 hour drive) and trek Chisapani (2,300m/5 hours trek)
Day 02: Chisapani – Nagarkot (2,175m/ 7 – 8 hours trek)
Day 03: Early morning sunrise view and drive to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal for an hours and trek to Chisapani.
After breakfast, we start our trek via Shivapuri National Park to Nagarkot.
Today we wake up early in the morning to witness panoramic views sunrise and mountain vistas including Mount Everest. After breakfast, we trek back to Changunarayan where we visit holy Hindu Temple (UNESCO designated world heritage sites). After exploration, we drive back to Kathmandu.
