Difficulty Level of Annapurna Base Camp Trek 7 Days

If you compare this trek with Everest Base Camp Trek, it is very easy but comparing with normal Annapurna Base Camp Trek, it’s quite tough task. The normal Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes two weeks, thus has enough time to acclimatize in the higher elevation whereas this trek has been shorten by half and doesn’t contain any rest day. You have to walk continuously for one week. So, this is difficult trek than 14 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek. If novice trekker or physically unfit people join this trek, they may get AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). This is the common illness that people get in higher altitude. Walking for long days in high elevation without any rest may be one of its causes. So, if you lack endurance of walking in high Himalayas for at least 7-8 hours a day, we recommend not joining this trek. We suggest drinking plenty of water and taking only fresh vegetarian foods in high elevation to minimize the risk of AMS. If you trek in Monsoon, the leeches and landslides may be the problem.
