Next, we join a long yet easy trail that leads us down to Thangnak. Walking through the edge of Ngozumpa Glacier (the longest glacier in Nepal), we come across the second and third Gokyo Lakes to reach Gokyo village.

The trail leads to an incline before approaching Thame, and we pass over two bridges. On a hill to the west, Thame's renowned Gompa looks down upon the town. The trail that descends from Marlung is a well-known, former trading route to this point for Tibetan vendors.
At a height of 3,800 meters, the settlement of Thame serves as the starting point for the walk. The Dudh Koshi River is crossed by multiple suspension bridges as the trail progressively descends through lovely trees.
